Students learn the basics of embroidery, including stitches, techniques, tools, materials and design. Students design and create their own unique embroidery piece, reflecting their personal interests, aesthetics or style. In this class for the “VERY” beginner, students learn how to draft an A line skirt from their own measurements, make an elastic casing, finish seams and hem. Students must bring 2 yards of cotton fabric, matching thread and 1-2 yards of 1” wide elastic (not suitable for plaid matching). Students have 2 easy practice projects to learn seam allowance, precision, stitch lengths and widths. Glass Fusing-Intro Workshop Ages: 16+ Students learn how to cut and arrange glass to create a kiln-fused 2 piece set of matching dishes. This class can be taken as an introduction or as a skill refresher.
