Lathrem Senior Center (CIL) is dedicated to providing quality programs and services to anyone ages 55 and older. Located in the south wing of the Kettering Recreation Complex, the CIL is fully handicap accessible and offers over 50 ongoing activities and special programs monthly. Facilities within the CIL include: • Large program center for fitness classes, special events and other large group programs including a daily congregate meal provided by the Dayton Senior Resource Connection; • Library/Card Room with internet access, lending library and card tables; • Game Room with four billiards tables; • Full service kitchen; • Comfortable lobby. Purchasing a CIL pass allows participants to attend the following programs free of charge: • Cards and games: bingo, bridge (social and duplicate), bunco, euchre (standard, bid and Canadian), canasta, hand and foot, pinochle (single and double deck), scrabble and 500. • Drop-in sports: basketball, cornhole, Cycle Paths Biking Club, short tennis, shuffleboard, tennis and volleyball; includes indoor track. • Enrichment classes: estate and life planning, financial planning, fraud prevention, organizing techniques and more. • Music groups: Joyful Musicians and Kettering Senior Show Choir. • Wellness programs: BP and blood sugar testing, A1C screenings and various enrichment classes. CIL pass holders also enjoy discounted rates for passes and programs at the attached Kettering Recreation Complex including two aquatic centers, gymnasium, ice arena, childcare and other programming. A CIL pass is NOT required to attend most programs. Non- pass holders simply pay a slightly higher fee based on their residency status.
