52 Embroidery Primer This workshop is an embroidery crash course. Participants are introduced essential tools, materials, and techniques including transferring their designs or favorite drawings onto fabric. Clogging is a percussive American folk dance from the Appalachian Mountains, similar to tap. This class covers traditional and modern steps set to a variety of music. Clogging or tap shoes are recommended; any well-fitting hard- soled shoe works (gym shoes are allowed, but low-traction shoes are best). Using fabric scraps and meaningful textiles, students will create and stitch a unique collage design. Bring a basic sewing kit, sweatshirt, and any special fabrics (such as family clothing, baby clothes, or favorite textiles). Some fabric and thread will be provided.
