Situated on 1.5 acres, The Dayton Silos is home to the historic grain silos and offers more than 16,000 square feet of activated space, including a food hall, bar, three outdoor patio areas, and a variety of indoor gathering spaces designed for the community. General Interest Classes Experience the photography of Stan Lessig Stan grew up surrounded by wildlife and nature. After Air Force tours in Germany, England and Texas, he retired from WPAFB in 2001, and then worked as an Air Force contractor for 20 years, retiring last year. Discover plants that offer continuous blooms and maximize cooling effects. Bring measurements of your flower beds, shrubs, yard and trees plotted to scale on graph paper with distances from your front door to design a standard space. Each participant receives a plant to inspire their own garden. Ages: 18+ Fee: $18/resident; $23/non-resident Location: Lathrem Senior Center Instructor: Dale Nieberding 04-20624 A Tue. 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 Kettering Senior Show Choir The Kettering Senior Show Choir is an age 55+ singing group dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through singing four- part harmony of Broadway, popular, patriotic, inspirational and holiday music. The group practices on Friday mornings from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Charles I. Lathrem Senior Center and performs throughout the Miami Valley region for social organizations, independent and assisted living communities, churches and other area groups. Performances are Monday through Friday during the day. No auditions are required to be a member of the Show Choir, but a commitment to the practice and performance schedule is highly desirable. The choir is open to all Dayton area residents and a Lathrem Center membership is required.
